Through my eyes

A mirror for the world

Look through my eyes, you’ll see a world
with a spotless robe of democracy,
trying to hide the devil of hippocracy.
A world, full of dead and decaying notions,
being covered by unearthly, fake emotions.

Look through my eyes, you’ll see a world
of innocent people with utopian thoughts,
they expect mangoes, but get it in rotten lots.
A world of the poor, in despair and frustration,
their children suffer with acute malnutrition.

Look through my eyes, you’ll see a hope
that doesn’t rise up on it’s own,
needs to be shaken, until it stops to moan.
A hope fainted, due to pain and disease,
it shall reborn, when discrimination would cease.

Look through my eyes, you’ll see a hope
when shaken up, has a will to fight,
takes the initiative with all it’s might.
A hope, full of joy and happiness,
to the hanging society, it acts as a harness.

Through my eyes, I would like to see
a world that I could admire,
even through a ceasefire.
A world that is united and is together,
as fabulous as a peacock’s feather.
