June Bug

Warm breezes floral scents,

School ending summer events.

Preparing for new memories,

Hearing buzzing from the bees.

There is one so pleasant to the eye,

That takes not a flight to the sky,

It would rather stay low to the Earth’s green rug....

That emerald beauty....

The green June bug.

Like, God took a brush, of metalic and gold....

And told the pest, to go fly and be bold.

He gave it a year to rummage our yards,

Overripe and rotten fruit, this bug will guard.

A feast all season to its delight...

Until it takes its final flight.

Some may see nuisance, but their purpose to me....

A reminder of God’s mind......

making this small beauty.
