Hopeless Romantic

I stepped out into the future unknowingly
Blinded from all the proof of truth
I see with my eyes closed
But I’m afraid of the dark
I capture  the light in my hands
It seeps through the cracks
I’m letting everything I’ve gained go
In a milisecond the world is no longer mine
I can see you from a mile away
And be able to study your face
And feel your emotions
The room is not empty when you’re in it
I’ve been told that the world works in mysterious ways
Giving me reassurance for days
I now walk without the light in my hands
Hoping nothing gets in the way
I can’t see and it’ll go on for days
Wakeing up in a panic
Sleeping with fear
I’m a hopeless romantic
Who draws death near
