Sailing

I

If by chance life gives you wings,
use them to sail across the bay.
The extensive field of green blue water,
adorned with gems of steel and concrete,
offers a crown to the queen City
that’s beyond beauty and beyond tell.

II

Stillville houses,
like a letargic courtisan,
an abandoned lover of the ages,  appears in the horizon.
Mystery and sadness flow continuously from it.
Twisted legends, never to be told,
A missed rendez-vous with Time.

III

High seas, lost in a vast desert,
Blue on blue, horizons blurring.
You become small in front of this immensity.
No self, no egos, just the humbleness at the sheer size.
Lost in the universe, you become part of it.
I don't want to go back.
