I see you as a shadow now
Upon the very ground
Where once you trod
In that bright sun
All those years ago
 
Longingly I seek that place
Where now your shadow rests
But clouds have come
And erased your line
No trace there can be found
 
Once more the bright sun shines
And shadows are defined
But it’s only mine that I see there
Where once your own did show
A memory then is all I can fulfil…
