Unseen Angels

The day is getting darker
And the moon is rising high
I’m saying goodbye to the teachers
Wise men and the fools

My heart is growing stronger
The waves are crashing
All along the shorelines
Without energy or loss

The highway is forbidden
It’s raptures they are hidden
Only spirits of the forgiven
Can make their way across

The forests hide secrets
Of all the years before me
No traces of my last life
Will ever be revealed

Many searchers gather
In hopeful crowds they swagger
They only have to reach for
The memories they have lost

The towers stand before them
In mindful streets of mayhem
They turn then just to gather
In hopelessness and loss

The world turns without them
But it no longer matters
They bow to say there amen
And unseen angels gather…

(2013)

Perhaps we are all looking for our own unseen angels, are they really there? and what would we do if we found them?
