A Spider's Feast

A Spider’s Feast

Paradise forbidden as danger calls
Through swirling waters and narrow halls
Up to lofted castles and hungry eyes
Darkness comes too soon thee not wise

Flying through meadows as free as a bird
Sanctuaries are home for shelter is the word
Looking to the sky where curiosity points
Into pleasure dens as evil’s spirit anoints
Flying away tiny creature where dangers loom
To the spider’s table, to your cold dark tomb

It you were among the wise, but you’re not
Life is short for you among the lot
To fly where danger lurks is a misty course
Up to where spiders come to be an evil force
Run and hide little creature to say the least
Stay at home or become a spider’s feast
