Adrenalin Candy

Oh, the sweetness of the surging rivers,
the way they feel as the body quivers,
the thrilling ride to the highest peak,
the heart and soul ecstatic as they beat,

sweet adrenalin pounding against the walls
and fire in the hollows when danger calls,
life and death running through the heart,
reasoning and abstinance yet miles apart,

ode to the feeling and to the glory of the rush
and life as it kisses death with a rousing brush
as it climbs up the spine and into the spirit
and into danger with no reason to fear it.

Oh sweet adrenalin waiting to make a move,
to find my fearful me and put me in a groove
and push me to where I want to go,
to Fool’s Paradise or Morality’s Flow.
