Denizens Coming Out
Denizens came out to play again
near the road and around the bend,
behind the camouflage of vibrant green
where it’s safe from everywhere and all unseen.
Springtime spread out its emerald veil
so the nymphs could run through hill and dale.
Their private rite of spring came to be
as the stage was hidden for nature’s plea.
Forest nymphs have their special celebrations
as the trees of winter have warm vibrations.
They dance and romp and jump and run
hidden miles and miles away from the sun.
Now the forest becomes a mystery again
as the greenery and darkness come to blend
and all the denizens become full of life.
They come out of hiding to reunite.
