Her Mutable Nature
Mother Nature and her mutable moods
as in a season of many different moons,
harsh and placid, hot and cold,
snowy and steamy, quiet and bold,
she swings her mood to the season’s calling
and summons the leaves to begin their falling.
After she paints them red and gold
she casts them to the ground so very bold.
For Winter’s calling she must obey
the laws of nature, which way to sway.
