Night’s Sweet Falling

Into the night as night’s sweet falling,
Into the sea, the sun, to nocturne’s calling,

Wizardry of the earth and sky at dusk,
As the night and with its meadows lust,

Crickets singing enchanted songs of love
With romance in their eyes to whom above.

The jasmine breathes into the quiet air
And crimson clouds into fiery suns flair.

The earth is a potpourri of aromatic herbs,
A sea of delight and mellifluous curves,

Night-times of phantoms hidden in the forest,
Myths handed down at the sorcerer’s bequest.

Daytime flies around the mountain peaks
As minutes into hours into days into weeks
And pauses to smell the jasmine for the falling.
Ah the sweet voices from nocturne’s calling.
