Rain Pain

Rain pain and spirits head downward
to the darkened cellars along melancholy boulevard
with only half of the upward skies in view
and heaven shielded by a thickened grayish hue.

Seeking dominance over God’s eternal realm,
only the shadows of God take over the helm,
and the worshipers are cheated by the dark haze
as the rains come down from a broken praise.

Each drop of rain carries an uplifting message
as the emptying of the clouds fulfill their pledge,
and the view of heaven becomes more clear
as the empyreal opens up above the hemisphere.

At last, the celebratory feast of the hungry daffodils,
the dancing in the meadows and upon the hills
take place as the flowers begin to bloom
from pieces of the clouds so salutarily strewn.

And the Earth begins to sing summer’s song
about how joy and sorrow come along,
and sorrow strengthens the way for the rain to fall
when despair is averted, and gladness is installed.

The philosophy of life is inside one little rain drop
while the mind is crying for it to stop.
And the knowing of its effect is in the wisdom,
the strength that builds through the pandemonium
as the rain pain eases up and the anguish subsides.

An uplifting though while the continual rains are falling.
