The Appeasement

Crispy azure firmament, visions of paradise,
of clarity, of ecstatic dreams, of regal heritage,
of mythical cathedrals suspended in the blue,
beatitudes for the quixotic eyes,
floating gardens of copious blue roses,
angelic corridors lined with blue satin,
spacious avenues to the Kingdom up ahead,

appeasing skies from the hell left behind
when the seas were heaving columns of liquid steel,
spume of the skyborne beast,
violent declamations of the maddened tempest,
of a language flowing out of the
slithering nervous black clouds
aimed at the peaceful waters down below,
stirring up their synchronous motion
generated by the smooth aquatic
engines of the deep,
disturbing the rhythmic peace of the swells,
in a northward flowing
at battle with the eastward,
the hell from down under surfacing
to deface the easy passageways of the ships,

such a sight in the corridors to heaven
after the hell hath raged,
of Ian falling apart in the peaceful sky
and blending in with the beauty of it,
and of him apologizing for the evil done
for smashing the Floridian homes,
and him being driven by
more powerful forces,

proving that the path of evil
leads to peaceful results,
of appeasement repairing harsh feelings,
of love letting in the divine peace
to take over the resentment in the heart.
