The Road to Paradise

The road to paradise is paved with barb that stings the flesh along the way but leads to the highest joy. It proves that wisdom is in the knowing of how pain feels and how much more paradise feels because of it. A joyful man can’t truly feel the joy until he has felt the sting along the way.

No one wishes for pain to come, but its natural occurrence plants the seed of hope in his spirit, sending him upon the road to paradise. When he gets there, the true feeling of joy comes naturally, leaving him a joyful man. The deeper that pain carves into our beings leaves more room for joy to fill it back up.

A life without any sorrow and suffering is only a life half lived.  A wholesome life is a mixture of pain and sorrow; of sorrow traveling along the road to paradise and finding it at the very end.
