Vicarious Dreams

Fathers at the head of the righteous home
in future’s land where the seed is sown,
passing down morals from inside his heart,
pass them to his children to leave his mark.

The rights amended from his regretful wrongs,
a place achieved where the mind belongs,
he wishes to make them follow his dreams
and see himself running through the streams.

His new life lived through their own desires,
all the rightful deeds that contentment requires,
he lives inside and pulls the right strings,
the visionary ones that give them wings.

They soar to the highlands of their virtuous minds,
sailing through the mist as the beacon shines,
as father guides them through the streams
to the place described in his vicarious dreams.

I wrote this to recite in church for Father's Day.
