Winter’s Benediction

Winter’s vespers in mobile cathedrals
That drift in the snow filled skies,
Psalms of praise at season’s end,
Mother Nature’s eternal blessings
Wrapping up Winter’s silent liturgies,
The whispering of the snow Gods
That live inside the clouds of gray
That assemble in the frigid skies
At the eventide of Winter’s tenure,
Making way for the rite of Spring
As Winter’s benediction leading up to
A prelude to the advent of the greening.

I wrote this for The Belt and Beyond.
