Words and Allurement
Words are written with allurement in mind
seasoned with spice and inscribed in rhyme
calling for another word to invigorate the senses
like an exotic perfume to break down the fences
to ignite the fires of the spirit and the soul
and fly into indifferent spaces and take control
to heat up the longing like a flower to a bee
and lovers of beauty and what they see
and stick to the senses like an exotic perfume
as an enchantress passes by and gone too soon
words longing to be adjoined and become intoxicated
as they mingle together until the oceans become abated
lovely words in love with lovely words in love
a marriage consummated under the heavens above
and a satisfaction of the senses with the final thrust
a longing for another longing for the sake of lust
for words are lovers in search of another lover
the key to love’s intimate secrecy to uncover
the allurement that love needs for love’s unification
an eclectic word that stimulates that magic vibration
o such is love and what it needs
and such is poetry and what it breeds
and what is the offspring but a beautiful poem
and what is poetry but a longing called home
