Ode to the Shattered Goblet

Like a crystal hanging on glass,
You remain every color that shines,
Dancing and twinkling,
Burning by the fire, while all the Earth,
Gives a sigh...

You are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,
You are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,
Had an old King lost his wife you would be Queen,
Had a miser some perspective, you would appear on fire,

Like a diamond in the early sunshine,
Your soul envelopes the world,
Unbreakable, Unshakable, Unmistakable,
Your mark leaves rainbows with each step,

Like a shattered goblet, tossed to the floor,
I wish to see my love once more,
But she sailed away off to sea,
To do what she must says she must do,

Like a candle unlit,
I wait,
I wait,
I wait until!
Oh, my mind awakes again,
Blinking eyes and sudden breath,
While clouded eyes and hair unkept,
Waking to uneasy yearning,
As I greet, alone, the cold and lost,
Early morning...
