The Farthest Harmony

You’re perfect, like the stars in the sky, the mountains stained in moonlight
Like the gleaming dew in the sun shine creates thousands of tiny rainbows, like the rings around the moon are your halos
Drifting so high off the ground
The clouds around you must be your wings, the wind itself must be from you taking flight
The rain hitting the sidewalk on a cold, empty night
The sounds the smells
The way you shine in the darkest times
Lavender and roses have nothing against you
Because no matter how you smell you yourself are the sweetest perfume
Out of all the colors the eyes can see
Out of all the thoughts that run through me
You are the brightest of all
Yes, I am poor
I am nothing above average
But out of the choices you have I’m nowhere near savage
I may seek salvation
And it may be you that I’ll seek
Even though I can’t feel much
I can still feel your presence around me
I imagine how your lips would taste
I imagine tracing the sharp and soft lines on your face
And it just feels like I could never replace
The feeling you pour through me
Your hands must be so soft
So dedicated and kind
Mine are calloused, rough and lined
But if I ever were to reach upon courage to lift your chin up
I promise my hands and lips will be soft and kind and filled with love
