Fighting, and clawing at it

To be frivolous and blind
Shallow is easy
Appealing in its emptiness
I fight your evil
It is weak and beneath me
But craving your blindness
To be hidden from the pain of truth
Take me away
Give me joy
To be selfish and careless
Where will the pain go
In a black box
Where the devil hides our wisdom
But as the pain reminds me
This is not about me
