A Brother
A poet needs someone
Someone in their life
To be there for them
and help them not give up the fight.
A warrior by their side
For the days they feel lonely, and want to die
Someone more than a friend
but not a lover
someone like a brother.
To stand by your side
To protect you from, the crowd
‘Oh how I miss the bliss of my brother
Not related by blood, only by hurt
The separation tore me apart
But sadly, time threw us apart
It separated us not so equally
And now there is no more happy family
‘Oh brother, I forgive you for the wrongs that you have done
I was never truly mad, just hurt
Like when a farther doesn’t love his son.
‘Oh brother, if only you could see me now
I am the one in a million that stands in a crowd
‘Oh brother; I love you dearly
‘Oh brother, please come back to the family
