Into The Blue

When people say love hurts it has so many different meanings,
They weep, they feel like dirt or they’re just agonised and screaming,
Asleep it hits the worst because they can’t control their dreaming,
They keep on feeling cursed as things no longer seem appealing.

The hardest part of loving someone is to let them go,
The largest heart always succumbing to the harshest blow,
The farthest path starts far away from where you want to go,
The darkest art becoming all that you will ever know.

Leaving the one you love, it separates you from your soul,
You grieve, you look above and speculate about your role,
The heaving feeling of degeneration oh so cold,
The thieving demons penetrate your heart as you unfold.

It’s so unjustified when love’s supposed to conquer all,
Yet you get thrust aside and feel disposed of as you fall,
Love’s what keeps us alive, composes us so we stand tall,
But when it’s nullified it decomposes, makes us small.

I speak for the collective as I’m not the only one,
To seek a new objective when all that you’ve got is gone,
The bleakness of perspective starts to rot your inner song,
So weak and ineffective, every part of you is wrong.

I don’t know what to do if I can’t keep on loving you,
I just won’t have a clue, I’m in too deep, completely screwed,
I wrote this not for you, but for the other people who,
Devote their misconstrued but deepest love into the blue.
