I am the Captain of My Ship

Hopeless?
Ship wreck?
Destitute? Mutiny
Or land in sight?
I must assault the senses I will fight,
The scenery so dull & unkind,
I can change this hopelessness
I can rewind
The tired colors of the palate;
A walk along the deck
In the cold icy wind & rain,
Does wonders to dull my aching brain,
Rest & sleep heals my soul
Like a miracle balm to the toll,
I can drive through this depression,
This bitter storm...
To a better disposition,
Find sunny weather spectacular view not worn,
Just a level palateau perspective newly born
I will arrive,
I will survive...
Life can be rocky with many traps & trials,
But I will find a steady boat,
On it travel a little while,
Hoist the sails,
The seas will be calm,
With the pale blue sky & breeze of ease
I am the captain of my ship,
I will decide my mood my leas
I will determine my grip
This day I will take in my hand,
No longer tired & sick,
The reins of trouble I will crush into sand,
I am the captain,
I will find land I am in command,
I will set sail with the canvas of hope,
Any mutinous sailors abandon ship here is the vote
A fresh focus is in order
Where reason is not always king,
Here I am the captain,
Peace & solace I will bring
