Why she says yes

Why she says yes, why she stays

Why she says yes, why she stays.

Feeding into the greed of a selfish man. She becomes completely unselfish and sacrificial. All she wants is love, to be wanted and needed by someone. To feel special. He wants money and the customer wants satisfaction. She’s stuck in the middle trying to please, unpleasable  people Who are never satisfied. Eventually her sense of self dies. It becomes the only way to survive. Then it’s too late, she has no where to go. No one to run too. So she stays content and tries to make herself happy. In reality she makes everyone else happy and she’s left with the misery of memories. When she tries to change, the world shuns her. Being alone is unbearable, the loneliness brings the pain and regret of the life she’s led. Flashbacks shake her days, no sleep comforts her. The only way to stop thinking is to start doing. So she runs back to the slave master for work. Occupy my mind she says, tell me what i want to hear. Mend me, fix me, love me, want me. Just don’t leave me. I’ll do whatever it takes. Fill my head with lies so I don’t have to face the truth! I’d rather be with you than with out you cause you know how to ease my pain, you know how to soothe my ache.  Cast your spell, take my mind away. Paint me a fantasy, a place i can live subconsciously where I am the apple of your eye, and your mines alone. Where I feel whole and joy. A paradise, a island where no one knows my name. Where work and play are one in the same. Where I’m satisfied with myself, and everyone sees me for who I am.  I don’t wanna think anymore, I don’t want to feel. Numb me. He always has the cure although he kills her softly she accepts it cause no one else even cares.
