And makes my knees so weak

I love you when it brightens the days
I love you when it livens my soul
And makes me lose the words to say

I love you through the affection
I love you when we tightly embrace
I love you when it becomes my warmth
Every cold thing said... erased

I love you through the affliction
I love you when we spew hate
I love you when all we did was berate
Every frigid note strung
Every sour scar stung
I love you through the indifference
I love you when we felt nothing
I love you when silence became the answer
Every fight an intricate tune
Where two lovers formed resentful dancers
I love you when we separated
I love you when see you later became goodbye
Tears spent and memories locked
Away, for days that are better and not bitter
I love you through it all
I wrote this late at night not knowing what I was going to write. I ended here. I think we all get a couple of loves in our lives and I’m pretty positive I’ve met my threshold. This poem has a meaning but it’s been lost to me through time.
