Dreaming
I’ve been dreaming of a better place,
Where people you know have only one face,
Where people don’t moan at the stupidest things,
And celebrate life and all that it brings,
Where people are pleasant and say thank you and please,
And ill manners are not a contagious disease,
Where people are socialising and really know what this means,
Not ignorantly tapping away on their screens,
Where families are more like they were in the past,
And visiting others is not just a task,
But in the meanwhile, I’ll sit with a smile on my face,
Simply dreaming of a better place.......
