After all the tears had fallen
And the silence as thin as a veil -
She looked at him, and he at her
Both aware of a truth within.
He glimpsed something in her eye . . .
He saw it, too.
In silence they sat, nothing more to say . . .
But ever aware that lasting love was the something they saw.
With tenderness and true loving passion
they embraced for what was a lifetime, knowing that they could never again part.
No, never .. for any reason.
