Ode to Infinity
The sunset beckons the parting day..
The waves keep rushing on the evening sand..
It is the time to fall in love
With darkness, and with you..
Ever since the beginning of time
Have we been taking these quiet walks..
Together, forever this twilight hour,
When life stops to rest for the day.
Not a day has passed, that we haven’t met.
The music of life rings aloud..
The heavens above echo its notes..
As the ever-flowing time ticks along the rhythm..
The air of mystery in your eyes
Have never betrayed the secret it holds..
It is a riddle after all, this life,
Where we all do strive to seek answers..
The darkness spreads now over the sky..
Thoughts, and feelings lose their light..
And call it a day!
Night falls in like the winter sleep,
As quiet as ever, like a flock of sheep..
Your cycle of time has been going since long,
As birds hatch, sing, and die along..
You are a journey that has no end..
Enemy to none, to no one a friend..
But we still do meet here, every sunset,
With the night and day on a romantic date..
