Silence Granted

The sweet embrace and silence granted
O’ the peace and lack of desire.
Would these indeed be sweet?
I know not, for life, Still is with me.
Would death grant wishes so wished for in life?
Or would i wander? Seeking solace when bereft of light.
Question to ask and never to be brought to truth.
I ask them now, would I ask them hence?

I cannot find peace.
Should I die on the 'morrow.
Death would doubtful bring solace that life could not.
Alas I truly fear judgment, for what I have wanted
For what i have wanted, and not attained, Bound in this,
This mortal coil.
