Everything is Dancing

Everything is dancing. Behold,
The grasses bend and sway, enraptured
Within the embrace of the wind
While trees reach out their leafy arms
To hold the sky close to them
Lest she departs.

On quiet nights
See the waves dance with the shores
Whispering sweet nothings and
Giving gifts of pearls, a white necklace
With every kiss.

Even the planets twirl
In an eternal waltz, dressed in
Their rugged finery
As the stars attend, bejewelled
Guests at a celestial ball.

Look, on a bright day
The dust motes, dreamlike, spin
Intoxicated with sun-drunk slowness
Amidst lonely shafts of gold
To silent sonatas.
