He walked into the rabbits burrow, and sipped from it’s cupped hands
Emotionless, it watched him slip into a foreign land
Tired, Bruised, and broken, the sky was clear the sun was hot
He mustered up some strength, and left the nothing that he’d brought
Each step brought him closer, at the same time brought him down
Miraculously the desert had left water on the ground
Life hit him like a winter storm, waves gaining intensity
Before reaching that final gulp, the waves swept him out to sea
Seconds turned to minutes, the current pushed away the land
He held his breath and took a dive, untill he touched the sand
The darkness was surrounding, nothing to hear, nothing to see
No lights off in the distance, forgetting how to breathe
Swimming in a circle, with a hope the day would come
Where someone would come find him, or he would find someone.
