Cocoon
Too crowded in here
Cramped and uncomfortable
Too dirty and gritty in here
There’s slime everywhere
It’s sticky and it smells
Heartburn all over my body
If I stay any longer in here
I fear I will decay
Like a gangrenous disease
My exterior is cracking
Been dark for so long
Starting to see a light
So ugly in here, so dark
It’s so gross, I don’t want to see
But I must, to get safely out
Have to open my eyes
Open my heart, but I’m afraid
Want someone to hold my hand
I can’t do this alone anymore
I don’t have the strength
I just want out.
