It’s funny, we’ve been the best of friends for all these years,
In a instant we’ve become such strangers,
You knew me best,
I knew you best,
Yet,
Today I cannot recognize the person you’ve become,
It’s strange how someone I recently met,
Is more of a friend than you ever were,
Perhaps, I was too blinded by your fake promises & care,
That I lost the concept of what a friend should be,
But my eyes have finally been opened,

Is not deserving of a friend like me,
