Realization
Lost in a world of my own,
Words are all I’ve ever known,
Writing each day poem by poem,
Letting out feelings from deep within my soul,
Laughters and cries,
Failures and tries,
Questions always seem to arise,
How? When? And why?
Lost and incomplete i seemed to feel,
Not realizing an opened wound needed time to heal,
Disappearing from time to time,
Trying to figure out this life,
Then it hit me like a storm,
Get out of this illusion that you’ve formed,
Pick yourself up and be strong,
It doesn’t matter if the wait is long,
What truly matters is knowing right from wrong,
Life is your journey,
You are responsible to figure out who is worthy,
Not everyone deserves your goodness and a place,
Some will lie to your face,
And your time they will waste,
Know when to draw the line and put that space,
Cause this is your life don’t make decisions in haste,
There is no need to race,
Live life according to your own pace.
