Once upon a time, long ago
She said she loved him;
He wished it were so
For without her, his world’s dim!
Sadly, it wasn’t true!
After so many years
A life-long romance is through
A bleak, lonely future he fears!
But his life’s not over
And while looking, he wasn’t
Into his universe, walks a lover
Give up on life, he doesn’t!
His heart’s now full to the brim
And happiness overflows,
His spirit sings a joyful hymn
Bliss, his radiant face shows
Grateful for a second chance
To love and be loved in return
To experience passion and romance
To feel heat again, but never burn!
Grateful for a new found love!
For he won’t face the future alone
Grateful for the angel from above
As he welcomes a new dawn!
Long ago, once upon a time
He gave his heart away
Sadly, their spirits didn’t rhyme
And love didn’t stay!
Now he gives his heart again
Hoping she keeps it for always
Rich or poor, through thick or thin
And for the rest of their days!
