Light at the end of the tunnel
In the midst of all this tragedy in my life I’ve come to a realization,
I’m better than I made myself out to be,
I may be insane but better than I thought.
It occurred to me that I have things to strive for,
And now I have my poetry to fall back on.
It’s not the same as a person but when you’ve lost everything else,
There’s always something there to console you.
Got this sudden burst of energy you know,
Like I can do anything, I can write anything....
I’ve got my inspiration back.
This sudden occurrence, this burst of energy won’t last too long I know that,
But it’ll last long enough.
I’m the “Lemonade Maker” Remember?
I’m lucky for these 15-30 minutes,
And unlucky for a week,
Maybe that week is worth it.
When life gives you lemons ... Right?
