That Girl

There she is,
Walking towards me,
Radiant and fun.

There she is,
Walking towards me,
Her hair glistens in the sun.

I’m transfixed,
I’m in love,
as you can see.
I hope that she feels,
The same about me.

She must of been sent to me,
From the heavens above.
A man once said:
“All you need is love.”

She makes me laugh,
After gazing for a while.
I feel quite daft,
And I make her smile.

Her eyes glisten,
Sapphire as can be.
I should learn to listen,
But I’m transfixed,
Can’t she see?

Her hairstyle changes,
From day to day.
I couldn’t list them,
To her misplaced dismay.

But it rounds off her face,
Ever so well.
A small disgrace,
That I cannot tell.

The songs all make sense,
I hear what they mean.
Actors, on-stage lovers,
Starring in romantic scenes.

I want to kiss her,
I don’t know when or how.
I want to do it,
I want to kiss her now.

A kiss on the cheek,
Or the lips perhaps.
Maybe down below,
Between her lap.

She sucks my thumb,
We join to make love.
Swirling shared passion,
I’m her beetlebum.

Our eyes meet again.
No need to speak;
Two minds, two hearts,
One week.

It’s true what they say,
Time will fly by.
It does not matter,
For her I’d even die.

Untold riches and wealth,
They just cannot compare.
For when there’s no-one in bed,
Next to you at night who cares.

Each day we spend together,
Is a joy for me to behold.
I can still make her blush,
Still she makes me laugh.
Even as we’re frail and old.

I am her’s,
And she is mine.
Loving each other,
For the rest of time.

There she is,
Sleeping next to me.
Still radiant,
Still fun.

There she is,
Lying beside me.
She was beautiful,
She was my Sun.
