I’ve gazed upon the fire so black
Absorbing all the failures of the weak
So far down, I’ve lost my own tracks
Trapped in the middle, melting from the heat

Can anyone quench the flames?
Can anything cleanse this soiled soul so vain?

It burns
Help me, it burns
My eyes
My mind
All but my heart burns
It hurts

I never wanted warmth such as this
Searching for a calm and cold oasis
I was deceived by a snake’s long tongue
Thrown into the fire, forever undone

From ashes I rose
And into ashes I’ll go
