Drowning in Despair

In the complexity of life, I’m a child with an old soul,
Imagining magic everywhere, yet feelings take their toll.
I feel the world thoroughly, emotions vast and steep,
In the society of existence, where dreams and reality rarely meet.

“What fine weather today”, the unusual quote rings,
A paradoxical dilemma, as choice reveals its wings.
Between sipping tea, or pulling the trigger,
In these moments, joy and despair are drawn together.

I use a pen and a paintbrush, tools of my art
Yet hesitant to pull the trigger, fear gripped through my heart.
Expressing through strokes, the hues of my strife
In the canvas of existence, navigating this life

I wanted to write down what I exactly felt,
Yet the paper remained empty, emotions dwelt.
A silence, words lost in a void,
A struggle to capture sentiments, hearts paranoid.

Went back in time, fixed each mistake,
Erasing the missteps, a different path to take,
yet, in this version, a chilling embrace,
For every correction, a piece of me was erased.
