Don’t Have To

Don’t have to be friends to be nice,
Live the years and to pay a great price.
Don’t have to smile to have a lot of fun,
Do plenty of walking even though I can run.
Don’t have to work all day and night.
Then come home to argue and have fights,
Don’t have to do things others ask me to do,
Whispering sweet words like I love you.
Don’t have to sit all day and do nothing at all,
When I can go out do your work and then have a ball.

Don’t have to work all the long hours God sends,
Will drive you barmy in the end.
Trying to help everyone in your life,
When all it brings is trouble and strife.
Don’t have to worry it will be alright in the end,
Because you know we are lifelong best of friends.
