I Was Walking My Dog
Anyone who has a dog will know this
I was walking my dog
It was sunny one morning when I was walking my dog
its the best time of day when there is no fog.
We walked along pathways, fields full of dew on the grass,
with the powerful morning sunshine it looked just like glass.
We past down by a stream did me and my dog,
it seemed a bit wet I think it was a bog.
The sun was reflecting on water it seemed,
and mirroring images of all of the trees.
The birds were singing so loud and so clear,
you could hear each birdsong they sounded so near.
the flowers were blooming as we past flowerbeds,
roses in full bloom so lovely and red the beautiful
sweet smell of went straight to your head.
So now we are walking back home me and my dog,
when a couple of large hoses past us with a bit of a trot.
The hedge rows were gleaming with spiders webs
I think they had spun them when we was in bed.
We opened the gate to the garden of our house
and low and behold we saw a little field mouse
we ignored it and it went on its way.
It was a nice mornings walk on a lovely sunny day.
