Isn't life a blast

Isn’t life a blast

Isn’t life fun isn’t it a blast I have just been thinking about my past
It started when my life begun on December the eighth nineteen sixty one
From the first memory I recall and I will share it with you all,
I was at the age of two toddling around wondering what I can do like toddlers do,
One summer’s day my mother was washing the clothes it was washing day, Then the phone rang it was Aunty Rose my mother never thought about her washing and the clothes. While she was talking I found my teddy lying on the ground, he was dirty and mucky he needed a wash, so I dropped in the washing my teddy went with a plop.
I added some mice meat I found on a work top, and then in with some soap powder, sugar I got and in it went the whole dam lot.

My Mother came back she had left me alone then she screamed so loud it scared me to the bone I bet she wish she hadn’t answered the phone. The gooey mess it was all around and some of it was on the ground. She cleaned it up as quickly as she could, She empted the washer that was not looking that good, I saw my teddy he was a mess he had no eyes I would have never guessed. The washer had damaged my teddy it was clear I started to cry these were real tears.

Then the door opened my dad he was home he said to my mum you shouldn’t leave him alone. Dad picked up the teddy and said we will dry him and mend him no worries now my lad off its time you was in bed. The next my father had a surprise for me he said if I was good he would give me something after tea, it was the longest day it could ever be but sooner or later it would be tea. I was so good it was hard to believe but I wanted that surprise my dad was going to give me after tea.

Its time for tea my mums shouts at me I went to the kitchen it was after three
After the tea I was sat at the table my dad gave me the surprise it was on the table it was my teddy all mended and nice and he made me laugh with his two buttoned eyes.
I have my teddy he is now called floppy and it’s the end of our story I hope it wasn’t sloppy.
