Release myself from the rails of this damning train
Breathe in the clouds from the mountains
Let my tears blend in with the vapors of midnight’s rain
Escape my hour glass window, and let my spirit be proud and seen
Jump high from the cell that has held me and dream of what a wonder life can be
Run from the past that haunts me and let my constant sorrow go
Allow my body to fly on doves’ wings and let my heart feel the rush that love makes flow
I’m tired of waiting for the warden, the location of the lock’s key is in a place where no one knows
There may never be a chance for victory, my day of pardon may never show
