Summer is near it’s end, I regret not visiting my childhood home, near the gulf, where the sunset
If I could go back in time I would fix my wrongs, I would sing new songs And mend all hate And open the gate
Old friends walking on the beach, the waves bring in, memories, of carefree days;
Driving through the small towns of America, children of all colors playing in the streets, some with tattered clothes
Red, yellow and orange leaves Fall quickly now And create a tapestry of color That fill my mind With joy.
Blue star behind tree branch. White cloud passing half moon. Black space surrounds like a
Life is but a dream, our fantasies, spill, like liquid tears that pool and vaporize into the air.
Looking at my journal’s Blank page While geese fly by and honk A greeting. The red cardinals
Red cardinal dancing On white snow, How regal you appear With your cloak of red, How it cheers my heart
Not a word heard As the river flows Over rock, around Banks that lie Waiting for visitors.
Brown hawk with spotted tail, soaring on the wind, balancing like a sail. Your piercing cry
Summertime gives A chance to grow Under the sun, Travel, to new places And have some fun.
Pink hues from the west Filter through Snow covered boughs Leaving, The evening light
