Fall Time
Sunshine and
blue skies,
turnin’ leaves
and punkin pies.
It’s fall again
and summer’s done,
but that don’t mean
you can’t have fun.
You can rake leaves
until they’re deep,
then jump in’em
in a flying leap.
You can get punkins
and carve ‘em faces,
and sat ’em around
in conspicuous places.
You can go to a game
and have tailgating fun,
and eat slick pig barbecue
on a bunny bread bun.
You can visit a farm
with a cornfield maze,
and walk around lost
in a dumbfounded daze.
You can act like a zombie
and knock on doors,
and scare the kids silly
till they soil their drawers.
Fall of the year
in tennessee,
is a time to have fun
