I'm Feeling Good
I’m feeling good
in case you’d like to know,
but I’m in no hurry
and moving slow.
The sun is up
and that’s a sign,
from the great one
who is devine.
Just sittin here watching
a movie with charlie sheen,
about bikers
that are rough and mean.
But really if I had a wish,
I’d have a sammich with tuna fish,
and some juice then go outside,
and get in my truck and take a ride.
Down the road
and across the bridge,
and up the hill
and over the ridge.
And into the holler
where I use to play,
when I was a kid
back in the day.
A long time past
many moons ago,
all those years
that didn’t go slow.
Now all of a sudden
I’m sixty one,
but I’m quite certain
I’m not done.
So if the Lord’s willing
and the creeks don’t rise,
I’m gonna watch more movies
with these ol’ eyes.
And keep on running
till my motor blows,
then I’ll make a nice meal
for some hungry crows.
