Snack
well it’s kinda slow
and I think I’ll hit the sack,
but before I do
I’m gonna get me a snack.
I’ll go to the fridge
to see if there’s something in it,
and if I’m lucky
I won’t even have to skin it.
maybe some cornbread
and some beans,
and some fried apples
and some turnip greens.
maybe some bacon
that’s been nuked to perfection,
that would go good
with the results of the election.
maybe some boloney
on some velveeta cheese,
and some of that mustard
you apply with a squeeze.
on second thought
I ain’t hungry and I’ll be alright,
so I’m going to bed
and I bid y’all goodnight.
