Media: The beginning
“Barbie
She’s perfect
I want to be like her”
That’s what I said as a kid
And now I want that change
To concur.
“Look at those models.
Why can’t I be that thin?”
That’s what I said as a kid.
And now I want that change to begin.
“A diet. I’ll start a diet.”
That’s what I did.
After a while, food
My brain started to forbid.
The diet, It changed
To not eat at all
I didn’t notice at first, until my weight
It started to fall.
“I’m finally skinny”
I now say.
But with skinny comes consequences
Which earlier started to take place.
Here’s my story, my early transformation
A disease, a beginning
To society, and medias
Destination.
