“Caged Majesty”

I feel like a tiger in the zoo,
A royal Bengal tiger, behind the cage.
I feel like a tiger in the zoo, behind the cage,
Not for its beauty or its grace,
Neither for its strength nor its fame.

I feel like a tiger in the zoo, behind a cage.
I feel lonely and afraid
From the crowd outside the cage.
I feel like a tiger in the zoo, behind a cage,
Creeping left and right at a slow pace,
Thinking and introspecting, 'cause I feel lonely in this place.

I feel like a tiger in the zoo, behind a cage.
I feel unhomely in this place,
Wanting to run untamed, in a secluded greeny place.
I feel like a tiger in the zoo, behind a cage,
Amusement for the crowd behind the cage,
While I suffer silently in this place,
Like a tiger in a cage, in the zoo where I am caged.
