“Moonlit Longing”

After that fateful Autumn night,
When first I glimpsed your radiant sight,
On a dreamy Saturday’s twilight,
Under the spell of the full moon’s light.

My soul remains unsatisfied,
With just one glimpse of your captivating eyes,
Oh, in the night, my soul cries,
Seeking you beneath the night sky’s guise.

Through countless nights of yearning and plight,
My soul seeks those eyes, shining so bright,
Perhaps destiny has woven our souls tight,
Till the moon again casts its enchanting light.

Every night I’ll search, hoping we’ll collide,
On another moonlit night, side by side,
The memory of your gaze, of your eyes so wide,
Shall accompany me through these nocturnal tides.

Until that day, when you’re finally mine,
Your image will endure, a celestial sign,
In the depth of the night, our souls entwined,
Under the moon’s embrace, our destinies align.
